In order to give Ohio high school students the opportunity to pursue higher education and reduce the cost of doing so, the Ohio Department of Higher EducationOhio Department of Education, and the Ohio legislature in conjunction with universities and community colleges in the state have worked together and created the College Credit Plus program. It combines the previous Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO), Dual Enrollment programs, and Tech Prep.  College Credit Plus (CCP) is a state-funded program that allows a high school to earn college and high school credit simultaneously at no cost to the student or family.

UT’s college credit plus program: innovative technology, expert faculty, and more course options available to the dual credit student.

The University of Toledo’s CCP program gives 7th through 12th-grade students the opportunity to earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously and at no cost to the student or family.

More courses available

All courses in the UT catalog are available to CCP students who meet prerequisites or requirements and many of these courses are available online. A student must complete 15 hours of Level One designated courses before they can move on to Level Two courses.

More access and guaranteed transferability

Additionally, a selection of high quality, Ohio Transfer Module compliant general education courses are offered in a variety of modalities. With these courses, access is improved and transferability to Ohio public colleges and universities is guaranteed.

To maximize accessibility and scheduling flexibility, courses can be taken in a variety of modalities.

  • 100% Online - Anytime. Anywhere.
  • 100% Online – Specific time and day each week
  • Blended - Online and UT classroom
  • Face to Face - Classroom on UT Campus
  • Face to Face - Classroom on high school campus with a credentialed high school teacher

— All students are assigned a Success Coach who has the responsibility to ensure that the student has someone with whom they can meet and confer to receive guidance regarding scheduling, advising, University policies or any other questions they may have

— All students have access to their instructor via email, or telephone and in-person during posted scheduled office hours

— Earning transferable college credit before you graduate from high school that will apply to your college degree
