Clarence (Ben) Lindsay (PhD University of Minnesota, 1975) is a retired Professor who taught courses in Modern American Fiction, Modern British Fiction, and Modern British Poetry. He has published on British poetry and fiction with articles on Joseph Conrad, H.G.Wells, and A.E. Housman. He has also published on American poetry and fiction with articles and essays on Hart Crane, James T Farrell, Sherwood Anderson, and Ernest Hemingway. His book on Sherwood Anderson, "Such a Rare Thing:" Sherwood Anderson's Art in Winesburg, Ohio, was published in Fall 2008. He is currently working on a study of anti-Americanism in Hemingway's American characters.
