Ben Stroud (MFA, PhD Michigan) specializes in Creative Writing and 20th-Century American Fiction. He is the author of the story collection Byzantium, which won the 2012 Bread Loaf Writers' Conference Bakeless Fiction Prize and was selected as a Best Summer Book of 2013 by Publisher's Weekly and the Chicago Tribune, and a best book of the month (literary fiction) by Amazon. Ben's stories have appeared in Harper's Magazine, One Story, Electric Literature, Boston Review, New Stories from the South, and Best American Mystery Stories among other places.
