Requirements:
21 Credit hours in Anthropology (15 hours of required courses, 6 hours of Anthropology electives).

Required Anthropology courses:

  • ANTH 2020 Introduction to Archaeology, 3 hours
  • ANTH 2700 Human Evolution, 3 hours
  • ANTH 2800 Cultural Anthropology, 3 hours
  • ANTH 3850 Peoples of the World: An Evolutionary Approach, 3 hours
    or ANTH 3920 Indians of North America, 3 hours
    or ANTH 3940 Peoples of Sub-Saharan Africa
  • ANTH 4510 Field Methods in Archaeology, 3 hours
    or ANTH 4520 Laboratory Methods in Archaeology, 3 hours
    or ANTH 4530 Qualitative Approaches, 3 hours
    or ANTH 4560 Ethnographic Fieldwork, 3 hours

Elective courses:

In consultation with the advisor, 6 hours of courses at the 2900 - 4000 level in Anthropology.
