Every year the College of Arts and Letters awards donor scholarships to both new and continuing students. Visit the scholarship search tool page to see all the scholarships you may be eligible for. Some are need-based others are merit-based. Deadlines to apply will vary from scholarship to scholarship.

Below are just a few of the many scholarship opportunities the College of Arts and Letters offers

Department of Art Scholarships

  • Scholarships are awarded annually to both entering freshman and continuing students. To apply for these scholarships, please visit the Department of Art site for details and deadlines.

Department of Music Scholarships

  • Scholarships for music majors are available to qualified students. Non-majors may receive scholarship assistance by playing in selected ensembles and studying privately. To apply for these scholarships, prospective students must complete an audition. Please visit the Department of Music site for details and deadlines.

Dean’s Essay Award for the College of Arts and Letters

  • Scholarships are awarded each year to undergraduate students in recognition of excellence in writing and creative expression. Please review the announcement for more information.
  • Essays must be submitted with a faculty nomination form.

Office of Student Financial Aid/Scholarship Services

  • Students may be eligible for other University of Toledo donor awards not specific to enrollment in the College of Arts and Letters. Scholarship applications, including the Office of Student Financial Aid General Scholarship Application, can be accessed using the UToledo Scholarship Search.
