Please join us in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the UT College of Arts and Sciences, the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species", and the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin!
Tuesday Nov. 17 at 7 pm in Doerman Theatre, main UT campus, Dr. Tim Berra will present his multi-award winning talk (acclaimed by the journal Science and universities around the world), "Charles Darwin: The Story of an Extraordinary Man", featuring the impact of Darwin's life, thoughts, and work.
Dr. Berra is Professor Emeritus at Ohio State University, and will come to UT from his 3rd Fulbright award and Darwin celebrations in Australia. His new book "Charles Darwin: The Concise Story of an Extraordinary Man", published in 2009 by Johns Hopkins Press will be available for signing after the presentation. This event is free and open to the public, and parking will be free. The public is also invited to Dr. Berra's research presentation at noon Nov. 17 (earlier the same day) at the Lake Erie Center on, "Chasing nurseryfish and avoiding crocodiles in Northern Australia."
