Study Abroad Trip 2009
Africana Studies organized to take UT students to South Africa on a three-week study abroad experience in July 2009. South Africa is an important multiracial and young democracy that has shown the world how to reconcile differences and advance society. Experiencing South Africa offers an interesting prism through which to look back at America’s multiracial democracy. In South Africa you will feel the cross currents of both African and Western societies. Students will come to appreciate the country’s extraordinary beauty and the numerous and unique ways it contributes to the global economy. This study abroad experience provides students with a big platform to enrich their view of global society. |
