The Department of Chemistry
at The University of Toledo invites applications for up to three (3) one-year Visiting Assistant
Professor positions. These
positions, which are subject to budgetary approval, are to start August 2009
and may be renewed for up to three (3) years. A Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a
related discipline is preferred.
Candidates with a masters’ degree in one of these fields and a minimum
of three (3) years teaching experience will be considered. The successful candidates will be expected
to have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level in
general, organic, analytical, biochemistry, inorganic or physical
chemistry. Applicants should
specify their field of expertise.
Opportunities for research collaboration with the current faculty are
also possible, and, in fact encouraged for further professional
development. The main campus of
