Take Back the Night March and Rally

The Disability Studies Program  co-sponsored Toledo’s Annual Take Back the Night March for the first time in April, 2002.  The Program paid for an accessible van so that women with mobility impairments could participate in the march.  The bus was so popular that the Disability Studies Program sponsored an open trolley and a wheelchair accessible van again in April 2003.

Although the weather did not cooperate with the night's events, the cold and rain did not keep the women away.  The trolley escorted women with various disabilities through the mile-long march and between The University of Toledo and the rally point.
