Theodore Natsoulas

Theodore Natsoulas, Professor Emeritus, received the B.A. from the City College of New York, the M.A. from the University of Chicago and the Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1975.  He taught for the Peace Corps at the Ahmadiyya Muslim School at Ibadan and at St. Gregory's College in Lagos, Nigeria for two years.  He taught the History of Africa from 1967 to 1980 at Cazenovia College in New York.  In 1980 Professor Natsoulas taught African History and Middle Eastern History at the University of Toledo.  Professor Natsoulas served as teacher, scholar, and undergraduate advisor for many years at this university.

Publications:
"Prologue to Modern Ties between Greece and Ethiopia: The Efforts of Ioannis Kotzikas, 1845-1868," in Northeastern African Studies; "The Rise and Fall of Kikuyu Karing'a Education Association of Kenya, 1929-1952," in Journal of Asian and African Studies; and "The French and Poncet's Ethiopia, 1698-1703," in Distant Lands and Diverse Cultures: French Experience in Asia and Africa, 1600-1700, edited by G. Ames and R. Love and published by Greenwood Press.
