Philip Markowicz Lecture in Jewish Biblical Studies 

Each year the visiting assistant professor in Jewish Biblical Studies gives a public lecture on a particular topic related to the field of Jewish Biblical Studies.  This year our visiting assistant professor is Dr. Arnold Betz.  His lecture will be on October 25th, 2007, 7-8:30 pm, in the Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.  The title of the lecture is “Texts That Make the Hands Unclean:  The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Shaping of the Hebrew Bible.”
