When should I begin the graduation process?
Students who have earned 70-80 credit hours should begin the graduation process.
| What steps do I need to take to graduate? |
Visit the College of Arts and Sciences Student Services office to obtain a Graduation Procedures brochure, a Graduation Progress Evaluation form, and a current Degree Audit Report.
Schedule an appointment with your faculty adviser to complete the Graduation Progress Evaluation form. Bring the Degree Audit Report to this meeting.
File an Application for Graduation in the Office of the Registrar by the deadline in the semester PRIOR to the one in which you wish to graduate. Students who have not completed degree requirements in the semester in which they have applied to graduate must re-apply. |
| How can I make sure I graduate on time? |
Understand and meet all degree requirements.
Apply for graduation by the appropriate deadline (contact the Office of the Registrar for specific dates each semester).
Resolve "PR" grades--degrees will not be awarded if any "PR" (progress) grades remain on your transcript.
Keep copies of all documents pertaining to graduation (especially those with signatures) for your records.
Notify the Office of the Registrar of any inaccuracies in your name, address or phone number.
Resolve problems in advance - advisers, faculty, department chairs, and staff members do take sabbaticals and vacations. |
