The University of Toledo Dancing Rockettes were the first recognized collegiate dance team in the nation. Through athleticism, pride, and overall commitment to excellence, the University of Toledo's dance team continues to carry out this long-standing tradition.

Extra Audition Date Added for 2011

An additional audition for the 2011 UT Dancing Rockettes has been set for
Saturday, July 23.  Any updates will be posted on the band website at www.utoledo.edu/bands.

Date & Time:             Saturday, July 23             10am-1pm            Fittings will follow 

Location:  Dance Studio, on the 2^nd floor of the Health Education Building - UT main campus

Eligibility:   Any University of Toledo student or incoming freshman.  Applicant must have been accepted and committed to attending The University of Toledo.

Attire:  Form fitting dancewear, jazz/ballet shoes, ponytail.

Suggested Level of Ability:  Come expecting to showcase your technical dance skills individually, and also be prepared to learn a routine to perform.  Candidates should be familiar with the following:  high kick, double pirouette, split leaps, axle turns, and calypso leaps.  Ability to assimilate and perform new material will be assessed.  You will be judged on technique and showmanship. 

No specific number of Rockettes is chosen.  The number depends upon the caliber of applicants as determined by the judges.  Candidates selected are members of the band and are subject to the same rules, regulations, and expectations as the other band members.  UT Rockettes must audition each year.
