HERE IS WHAT OUR BUSINESS STUDENTS SAY ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES...
Schindler has given me the tools I need to perform in and out of the classroom. The hands on training and experiences have been nothing short of amazing. I want to work for a Fortune 500 company when I graduate and Schindler is molding me into that type of professional. I have become a stronger person and business professional from the internship process. While at Schindler I have become a better leader, listener, and overall better salesman. I highly recommend interning during your junior or senior year. There are not enough positive things I can say about the University of Toledo's Business Career Programs and the internship at Schindler.

The internship experience is an eye opener into the field you want to pursue. Receiving a degree is only valued as paper, but with experience the paper turns into a tool that noone can take from you. UPS has given me the opportunity to be involved in the process of employee retention.

An internship or co-op is an extremely beneficial supplement to a college education. The program allows an individual to exhibit learned skills and enhance experience within their field. Without the help of the Business Career Services and Dr. Gordon-Moore, I would have never been given the opportunity at American General Financial Services. The company is an outstanding fit with UT. Thanks for your help.

An internship offers you the chance to learn by doing in a setting where you are supervised by a work-place professional, and have the opportunity to achieve your own learning goals, without the responsibilities of being a permanent employee of the firm. Internships allow you to apply some of the ideas you've learned in school as well as giving you confidence in your own abilities. Internships also give you the opportunity to practice your communication and teamwork skills and allow you to meet new people and practice your own networking skills. The Business Career Programs office at UT was a large part of how I received my internship. The mailings and e-mails that are sent out to business students on a regular basis describing job opportunities is a huge help in finding the right internship. I would like to thank the University of Toledo's Business Career Programs office and all of their efforts.

I just wanted to say thank you to the Business Career Program. The opportunities that have been presented are tremendous. First, thank you for presenting me with the chance to better understand the interview process, and to practice my skills through a mock interview. Second, thank you for putting the job fair together. It was a wonderful experience that did not go to waste. I would also like to let you know that I have a very strong interest in Owens Corning and their internship for finance majors. I have been very excited since they came to the university to do a slide show about their company, had a chance to go downtown to their headquarters, and seeing them at the job fair. Again, I thank the Business Career Program for putting events like the mock interview and the job fair together.

There are many benefits to an internship they briefly give you real working experience. The part-time jobs you hold in college are nothing compared to an internship. My internship has related so much to my majors and I feel this will give me an edge when I go out to find a full-time job once I graduate. Business Career Programs helped me obtain this internship by holding job fairs and giving me tips on how to approach employers.

This internship has helped me obtain some important experiences relating to business. It did not have the finance that I expected, but I am still pleased to have this experience. I have learned leadership, the ability to multi-task, and the importance of being detail oriented among other things. These intangibles have led me to another internship (more finance related) with Owens Corning. I firmly believe that my Owens Corning internship was a direct result of my present internship.
