Staff
The University of Toledo College of Business and Innovation Office of Retention and Student Academic Success is open year round to assist undergraduate and graduate students in their pursuit of a business degree at the associates, bachelors and masters degree levels. Personnel include the advising staff, recruiters, and student assistants. The staff has received many awards for their professional accomplishments. Robert Detwiler, Debbie Jones and Barb Robertson have been recognized by The University of Toledo for excellence in advising in receiving the UT Adviser of the Year Award. Barb Robertson and Darlene Stevens have also received the College of Business Outstanding Staff Award and the Students First Award from the Office of the President.
In the College of Business and Innovation, academic advising is a shared responsibility between the student and the adviser. The academic adviser will provide the student with accurate information about educational options, plans of study, policies and procedures, career advising, and referrals to specialized services when appropriate. The adviser will assist the student with continual monitoring and evaluation of the student's educational progress. The student will maintain frequent contact with their adviser, and will assume final responsibility for course scheduling, program planning, and the successful completion of graduation requirements.

| Barb Robertson, M.S. Director of Advising and Student Academic Success Barb focuses on upper division students' plans of study and verifying that College of Business students have met their graduation requirements. She works with the Dean's office and faculty on special projects and student concerns and provides general advising to COBI students and UT students with minors in business. |

| Robert Detwiler, Ph.D. Adviser/Recruiter for Undergraduate and Masters Programs Robert meets with and provides advising to current undergraduate and MBA students as well as prospective MBA, Eexcutive MBA, Master of Science in Accountancy and Post-Doctoral Bridge students. Robert is also responsible for College of Business degree audits, national ranking submissions, and website updates for the College of Business. He is also a member of the National Association of Graduate Admission Professionals (NAGAP) and serves as Vice-Chair of the Intercollegiate Council on Advising for the 2011-12 academic year. |

| Kari Dilworth, MBA Adviser/Recruiter Kari serves as a resource for current and prospective (direct from high school and transfer) undergraduate students. She provides general advising to all College of Business students, students changing their major, and students in other UT colleges declaring minors in business. Kari also coordinates applications and appeals to the Upper Division. Kari is Secretary of the Intercollegiate Council on Advising for the 2011-2012 academic year. |
