Virtually every aspect of business entails marketing in some form. Discover a diverse field that emphasizes creating, communicating and delivering products and services that have value for customers, clients and your firm. Marketing blends art, science and analytics, drawing from psychology, sociology, economics, graphic design and more to better understand and fulfill the basic needs and motivations of an organization's customers, employees and stakeholders.

Our marketing program is built around a dynamic, relationship-centered approach to the marketing field and offers a challenging curriculum designed to prepare students for exciting careers in a variety of marketing disciplines. The department works with its Marketing Advisory Board, Sales Advisory Board and other stakeholders to keep its curriculum relevant, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and opportunities for students to network with industry executives.

UToledo marketing students gain real-world experience through internships which often lead to employment opportunities. Students within the marketing program acquire knowledge on product design and quality, consumer buying patterns, pricing, channels of distribution and advertising.
