Analytical Chemistry that covers most of the major skill areas required in a modern commercial analytical chemistry laboratory.

CHMT - 2120 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY FOR TECHNICIANS
[3 hours] An introduction to organic chemistry for the laboratory technician.
Topics covered include alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, cycloalkanes, aromatics, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ether, thiols, carboxylic acids,
amines and amides. Mechanisms and instrumental applications will be introduced. Prerequisite: CHMT 180
CHMT - 2400 WATER CHEMISTRY
[3 hours] Current physical, chemical, and biological methods for the analysis of water and
wastewater. Individual operation and mechanics of water treatment units are studied. Prerequisite: CHMT 1400
