The University of Toledo, a public, doctoral research institution, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, as a PEAQ participant, awarding degree at the associate, bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral levels. Its last PEAQ Comprehensive evaluation was in April 2011-2002 with the next PEAQ Comprehensive evaluation scheduled for February 2012.  The HLC ID number for The University of Toledo is 1603. Individual colleges and/or programs may also be accredited by a specialized agency; specialized accreditation can be found on the college or program web site.
