Diseases of the Ear (An Interactive Image Browser for Students) is a multimedia application which allows the user to view various high quality images of different diseases of the inner ear. The user can view disease images in three levels of detail and access both short and detailed text annotations for each disease. The browser makes it possible for the student to select images to be viewed in two separate windows. This feature enables the user to compare different diseases or levels of detail. A normal ear image is also included for reference. This program was developed with Dr. Gerald Rosen and Dr. Allan Rubin, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at University of Toledo. It is intended to be used in the teaching of medical students, interns, residents, and family practitioners.
