Observational Gait Analysis
The Observational Gait Analysis project is a means of teaching observational skills to Physical Therapy and Allied Health students. It was written by Dr. Christopher E. Bork Ph.D., Dean of The College of Health Sciences. The user can access 11 patients with gait abnormalities, as well as 1 normal for comparison, and observe each individualís gait. QuickTime videos allow the user to control the frame by frame or at normal, half and quarter speed. The user may also turn on the graphic overlay which shows leg extension assisting the user in detecting the gait abnormality. Additonal features such as video of a patientís surgery and anatomy of the knee are also included.
