S.H.A.R.E. (Studies on Health and Aging in Rural Elderly)

S.H.A.R.E. (Studies on Health and Aging in Rural Elderly) is an interactive, educational program designed to increase awareness about the challenges of successful aging.

This program consists of both a lecture on vision problems related to aging and a video simulation of an elderly woman whom has aged successfully. In the video simulation, the elderly woman discusses how aging has affected her physically, mentally, and spiritually. The video is also interactive in that it allows the user to switch between a first-person perspective and a third-person perspective. In the first-person perspective, the video has been manipulated to simulate the elderly womanís physical aging problems allowing the user to see and hear through her eyes and ears.

In the images below, note how the 1st person perspective image is blurred and partially blocked due to poor vision.
