The Center for Creative Instruction (CCI) has initiated a variety of web and internet projects over the last several years. The CCI maintains communication tools on campus such as UT Listserves, Usenet News Groups (including the Usenet News Feed from OARnet), and other web and internet-related projects. Customized solutions have also been developed for acquiring data from forms as well as web to database solutions.
The CCI maintains statistical and monitoring programs for the UT Health Science Campus web servers as well as tools for developers such as the NetCarta WebMapper. The WebWatcher application is used to verify the stability of web servers on campus.
Video and audio streaming solutions have been implemented for a variety of projects. Currently a RealMedia server is available on the Health Science Campus webserver (hsc.utoledo.edu) as well as one for the Academic Intranet. The RealMedia server on www.meduohio.edu provides community education online, clips of videos from events, samples of television commercials and other advertisements. The RealMedia server for the Academic Intranet is used to provide online lectures synchronized with PowerPoint presentations or other multimedia.
