International Institutional Affiliations
Welcome. This site provides information to assist UT faculty and staff in writing
and creating International Institutional Affiliations (IIA).
The University of Toledo’s International Profile
The University of Toledo has long been a leader in providing higher education to students
from around the world, and welcoming international guest to teach and do research.
UT places a high value on international experience for its students, offering a variety
of programs which help our students explore their world.
Over the past 30 years the University of Toledo has been active in the creation of international partnerships with a plethora of countries on six continents. As campus internationalizations’ importance increases and Rockets soar around the world, we want to eliminate liability of risk to students, faculty and the university by providing one streamlined process. For this reason, all UT International Institutional Affiliations that have been inactive for 5 years will be considered terminated.
In order for the Center for International Studies and Programs (CISP) to meet Dr. Jacobs’ directive to be narrower and deeper, CISP will be the hub for all things international, including the creation of new campus wide protocol for International Institutional Affiliations (IIA). IIA’s include Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), Institutional Partnership Agreements (IPA) and Letters of Intent (LOI).
Championing the University’s Strategic Plan, CISP strives to be the University’s link for achieving Goal 6, #4; We will partner with public and private entities to identify formal and informal educational opportunities. To learn more about current University strategy visit the University’s Strategic Planning website for the most up-to-date information.
