Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

• CPT is defined as an internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum which is offered by sponsoring employers through cooperative agreements with the school.
   
• CPT must be an integral part of an established curriculum.
   
• A student must be enrolled full-time at UT for one full academic year before being eligible for CPT.
   
• Use of full-time CPT for one year or more eliminates eligibility for Optional Practical Training (OPT).
