Main Campus Diversity Assessment: Among the key elements in the plan for diversity at UT by the President’s Commission on Diversity was an assessment of diversity on the main campus. That assessment has been completed with the help of Kaleidoscope, Inc. and institutional leaders are looking to use the findings to move forward.
The assessment establishes a baseline, suggests directions that will lead to achievable outcomes, and invites ongoing assessment and has been forwarded to the Strength in Diversity strategic Planning work group and other groups with an interest in diversity at UT.
The Diversity Portraiture Initiative: The Commission on Diversity has undertaken the task of bringing diversity to the campus portraiture and begun its second project with the Rocket Hall Mural Project. With the success of the James Ashley Project, we move forward to developing additional projects of interest to expanding the imagery in a more representative way which shows the blend of gender and culture throughout our community.
Diversity Horizons: is the online newsletter published by the President's Commission on Diversity to keep you abreast of diversity news on campus and in our community. We welcome and encourage your submission for consideration to be included in exciting events and projects in your classes, departments and on your campuses.
