Counselor Education
Welcome to the Counselor Education Program web site! The Counselor Education Program combines personal education with exciting experiential learning. There are opportunities to explore all areas of clinical mental health and school counseling. Practice areas include clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, chemical dependency counseling, rehabilitation counseling, and many others. You will find that faculty are friendly and attentive to your needs, and here to help you meet your career goals in an atmosphere that is personable and accommodates your lifestyle. In addition, Counselor Education's award-winning and accredited programs are designed so that students can attend either part- or full-time. Finally, the Counselor Education Program can meet your professional training needs by offering terminal degree programs at the masters and doctoral degree levels.

The Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling
concentration and the Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education with a School Counseling concentration are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of
Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The PhD in Counselor Education
is accredited as such by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational
Programs (CACREP) located at 1001 North Fairfax Street, Suite 510, Alexandria, VA
22314, Telephone 703.535.5990. The Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling
concentration has been reviewed and approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage
& Family Therapist Board as meeting the academic requirements for licensure as a Professional
Counselor and a Professional Clinical Counselor.
