Hannah Lehmann--Art Major,BA Studio Art
Hannah is a senior pursuing
a B.A. in Art
The UT Department of Art is proud to recognize student Hannah Lehmann, whose abstract submission, "Sickly Sweet: A Visual Commentary on the History of Sugar and the Implications of Its Use in Contemporary Society," was chosen from more than 3,500 submissions to be presented at this year's National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR 2011). Hannah will present her work at NCUR 2011, which will be held March 30 through April 2 at Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York.
David Folck--BFA Student
BFA student, David Folck, was awarded a 2011 Undergraduate Summer Research and Creativity Program grant to support full time work on his art project "Insects Invade" this summer.
Rachelle Raymer Gilbert
Rachelle Raymer Gilbert had work accepted into an international juried photo exhibit: The Plastic Fantastic II Camera Show at the Lightbox Photographic Gallery in Astoria, OR; She also had work competitively selected for exhibition at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Community Gallery; Reclaiming Toledo at the Secor Building, and participated in 2 other exhibitions at the Secor Gallery this year. She also taught a Cyanotype workshop for Women in the Outdoors in August.

Rachelle Raymer-Gilbert (BFA New Media 2012), Eric Broz (BFA Printmaking 2013) and Morgan Hayward (BFA New Media 2013) will be inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi in Spring 2012.
Grace Engel
Grace Engel was awarded a TMA Palmer Scholarship to pursue a photography project in Europe during summer 2011.
Julia LaBay and Alyssa Brown
BFA students Julia LaBay and Alyssa Brown currently have work in a 4-person exhibition, Brown, LaBay, LaValley and Yager, at the Parkwood Gallery in Toledo, OH. The work was competitively selected from a national call for proposals and will be on display through February 24. (Read More..)
Trish Kohn
Had two pieces of work in the Eberly Center spring show and sold one of them. She also has a drawing being purchased for permanent installation down in Columbus, OH at a new COTA building being built.
Trisha Rons, Studio Art - New Media
Accepted full time Marketing/Advertising/Web position with Custom Heating and Plumbing in Michigan. Finalist in 2011 Photographer's Forum “Best of College Photography” contest. Her work will be exhibited in the Catharine S. Eberly Center's 2011 Spring Exhibition.

Madeline Jewell, Studio Art
Her work will be exhibited in the Catherine S. Eberly Center's 2011 Spring Exhibition.
Evaleigh Stroud, BFA Studio Art 2011
She has work currently on exhibit at the Parkwood Gallery in a juried 3-person show.

He had his first solo exhibition (Fall 2010) at the Ritz Theater in Tiffin, OH.

She has been accepted to three MFA programs: Bradley University, the University of Cincinnati, and Ohio University.

She has been accepted to the MFA program for Photography at Florida State University.

David Folck
David Folck has received funding from the 2012 Undergraduate Summer Research and Creative Activity Program (USRCAP), for his project, “LANG LEBEN DIE INSEKTEN!” This is the second Undergraduate Summer Research award David Has received. David is a BFA candidate in the Department of Art.
Kristen Breitenbach
Kristen Breitenbach (double major in Film and Art History) presented at the WGST Student Research Showcase this past semester.
The Eberly Center for Women is featuring many current art students including: Alyssa Brown, Jessica Ostrander, Morgan Hayward, Ashley DeKay, Trish Kohn, and others.
Alyssa Brown
Alyssa Brown, current BFA student with a concentration in New Media, received a USRCAP research grant and will be working with the UT Press redesigning a pdf form of the published book The Irish in Toledo. She will also be interning with Grand Lubell Photography for the summer months, where she will be working with sales, assisting with shoots and editing photographs. She also just received news that 3 of her pieces will be published in the Aisthesis Honors Journal!
