2012 Open Enrollment

Now is the time!  Open Enrollment is the one time each year you can enroll or make changes in your healthcare benefits.  It’s also time to enroll or re-enroll in the Flexible Spending Account Program or Health Savings Account, which must be done annually.  This is your opportunity to evaluate the benefit needs for you and your family, review the options offered by the University of Toledo and make your choices for the 2012 plan year.  Information about Plan updates and legal notifications are included below.

New for Open Enrollment:

• For the first time, Open Enrollment will be completed online through the myUT portal.  To access the myUT portal, please click here.
   
• The Ohio Benefit Administrators (OBA)/FrontPath PPO plan will now be available to Health Science Campus employees.
   
• Informed Rx, a Division of SXC, will begin to administer the pharmacy benefit for employees on the Medical Mutual of Ohio CDHP effective 1/1/2012.  All Medical Mutual subscribers will be receiving a new prescription drug ID cards prior to 1/1/2012.

Please Note:  This is NOT a full re-enrollment.  Only the following forms, if applicable, need to be completed: 

• Spousal/Domestic Partner Healthcare Affidavit - if covering a spouse or domestic partner on the OBA/FrontPath or Paramount ES plan
• Adult Child Certification - If covering a dependent over the age of 19
• Health Savings Account - If contributing to the HSA for 2012
• Flexible Spending Account (Medical and/or Dependent) - If contributing to the FSA for 2012 

We do encourage all employees to log-on to the new online system, even if no changes need to be made, as there may be required documentation needed to continue benefit coverage for 2012.  

We will be holding Health Care Benefits Open Enrollment Meetings that will provide details on the benefits that will be available for 2012 as well as overview the new Online Open Enrollment Process.  We highly encourage ALL employees to attend one of these meetings so that you are well-informed on what benefits are available to you and your family.  Below is a list of the scheduled meetings (that will last approximately one hour) and open computer times that benefit representatives will be available to assist with the completing of the online Open Enrollment process.
