Outstanding Staff Awards

The Outstanding Staff Award honors and recognizes UT employees who have a significant impact on the University through outstanding dedication and accomplishments; contributing to and demonstrating a commitment to the University's core purpose and values; and exceptional leadership and loyalty to the University. This Outstanding Staff Award Reception was held Monday, May 6, 2019.

criteria:

The nominee will have demonstrated several of the following examples:

  • Motivates and inspires the people around them to strive for excellence within the UT community; assists others toward achieving professional goals and achievements.
  • Actively works as a team member who strives on innovative, improvement and ongoing contributions to The University of Toledo.
  • Exhibits a positive commitment and loyalty to The University of Toledo community. Staff member demonstrates behavior which clearly and consistently reflects the mission statement of their division and The University of Toledo. Staff member demonstrates a high ethical standard.

eligibility:

Eligible nominees must be current full or part time (20 hours or more) UT staff members from any campus who are from AFSCME, CWA, UTPPA, or the Professional Staff Association (non-union employees) with at least two years of service. Previous award recipients, faculty ,and senior administration are not eligible.

selection:

  • A nomination form must be completed and submitted to HR website.
  • A selection committee will determine the award recipient.
  • HR will notify recipient of their selection.
  • Award will be presented at the annual awards event.
  • Total award value is $1,000. The recipient will also be given an engraved award.
  • Five recipients will be chosen.
