    PCN 994723~ Police Dispatcher 1, University Police:

    The UTPD seeks to fill a part-time, 30 hours per week Police Dispatcher 1 position. The shift, days and hours of work vary and include evening and weekends due to operational need as the dispatch center is a 24 hour operation.

    Under the general supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor or other administrative superior, receives and transmits emergency and non-emergency message by radio, telephone, and computer for university and other safety forces; maintains various logs, computer and paper files of events.

    The candidate must have 4 months training &/or experience as a radio dispatcher with like duties for law enforcement agency; Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences; Must be eligible for certification to access information from law enforcement databases.  CWA Pay Range 5
