    Sex Offenders

The University of Toledo is committed to creating a violence-free campus.  As one component in a comprehensive approach, UTPD utilizes information regarding registered sex offenders. The University recognizes that sex offender registries reflect convicted sex offenders, which are only a small percentage of actual sex offenders, and that most sex offenders commit assaults against people they know, rather than strangers.

If you are interested in receiving information and alerts on registered sex offenders in Lucas County, please visit the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office website at: http://www.co.lucas.oh.us/index.aspx?nid=542.  You will be able to search county and state records for convicted sex offenders as well as sign up for automated sex offender alerts.

Creating a violence-free UT is up to all of us.  You can help make a UTURN: UT United for Respect and Nonviolence.  For more information, contact Diane Docis at the UT Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Program, 530-3431.
