Faculty Information for Proctored Tests
Dear Online Course Instructor,
![]() |
My name is Maureen Strall and I am responsible for coordinating proctored testing for online courses off-campus. Learning Ventures has designed a procedure to facilitate and maintain the integrity of your test and provide a confidential and professional testing experience for your students. With your collaboration and the students the process is quite easy and runs very efficiently and smoothly. |
Off-Campus Proctored Testing for Online Courses
Please complete the INSTRUCTOR REQUEST FORM within the first 2-3 weeks of the semester. This provides our staff the dates of the test or tests, type of test and the specific instructions which are necessary to organize all of the tests and courses LV works with. The form also provides answers to any questions the proctors may have when LV confirms the validity and professionalism of each proctor. The tests themselves are not required until one week in advance of the test date.
Students testing outside the Toledo area are asked to review the following links, which may also be listed in the course syllabus, http://www.utoledo.edu/dl/students/proctor_info.html This link provides the University of Toledo’s Dishonesty policy, as well as the detailed requirements in locating a test proctor. The other direct link to The National Collegiate Testing Association http://www.ncta-testing.org/cctc/ can assist students in locating proctors nationally.
Students must complete their proctor form https://www.utdl.edu/proctor_exam_request_form which is submitted directly to LV. Upon confirmation of the proctor, an email validating the professionalism of the proctor is sent to the instructor and student.
Instructional Designers are available to assist/suggest best practices for online tests. Paper pencil tests must be scanned and sent to me directly maureen.strall@utoledo.edu Completed tests will be returned to me via fax or email and forwarded to professors.
On-Campus Proctored Testing for Online Courses
Proctored tests for online courses on-campus are arranged by the instructors. Instructors schedule a room and time by contacting Ms. Joyce Garber 419-530-4843 or joyce.garber2@utoledo.edu . who will assist you after the first 2 weeks of a semester.
The Memorial Field House Testing Center, Room 1080 is available for those students not able to attend the instructors scheduled room time. The testing center is for residual tests and arrangements should be made with Mr. Dan Fritch, the Administrative Coordinator at 419-530-2011. For more information please see the test center site.
Sincerely,
Maureen Strall
