Course Evaluations for Online Courses
All courses taught at the University of Toledo — online or face to face — must provide an opportunity for student evaluations of instructor effectiveness. Learning Ventures is prepared to assist faculty in their efforts to gather and share online course evaluations with chairs and deans. If your college does not have a procedure for online course evaluation, faculty will need to make course evaluations available as an anonymous survey on the learning management system (BB9.1, Epsilen). Here is how to make evaluations available:
- Download the appropriate version of the evaluation tool linked below. If you are comfortable with "Respondus," you may prefer to download and import the respondus version for the appropriate learning management system, or you may prefer the text version for easier editing.

If you do not know how to use Respondus or would prefer that LV upload your evaluation, please contact utlv@utoledo.edu to have the file placed in your course.
If your department has a course evaluation specific to online courses or if your department
would like to supplement our evaluation form, the questions may be edited at any time.
- Make sure the evaluation survey is open and available in the last two weeks of class and that results are not generated until after final grades are submitted. If you need assistance with these settings, please contact utlv@utoledo.edu.
Contact Lance Stoll, 419-530-4082, if you have any questions about online course evaluations.
