Suggested Online Learning Course Evaluations
Online learning courses are to be assessed in compliance with the applicable University policies.
Faculty members should assure that appropriate steps are taken to assess the courses. Online Learning will assist departments and faculty in suggesting modifications in departmental course evaluations forms to fit the unique aspects of the online format. Online Learning will assist faculty members in assuring that appropriate measures are taken to ensure anonymity of responses and confidentiality of the responses.
Because individual departments establish policies and procedures, there can be no overall statement of procedures. However, these general guidelines should be followed.
- Online Learning will assist in distributing forms and collecting responses in a manner that is approved by the individual departments.
- Any responses collected by the Online Learning will be forwarded to the individual designated by the department chair.
Online Learning provides two assessments tools which departments may request be attached to online courses. In addition, departments may edit either of these assessment tools or draft their own assessment tool, which we will gladly include in courses upon request.
