ADVANCED BIOLOGY EDUCATION

This combined master's program integrates graduate courses in biology and education to prepare students with a advance understanding of teaching and learning in the life sciences. This program is appropriate for students in biology who are interested in developing as educators as well as educators interested in advancing their development in life science.

College Credit Plus. The Master of Science and Education in Biology is an online graduate science and education program designed for teachers licensed in AYA life science or integrated science. The program is 36 graduate hours including 2 face-to-face experiences (4 credits). Program completers earn a Master of Science and Education (MES) and become qualified to teach CCP courses in life science including Ohio TAG (TAG: BIOL 2150, 2160, 2170, 2180) and OTM college courses in life science (OTM: EEES 2150, 2160, BIOL 1120) in high school for the University of Toledo.

Do you already have a master's degree? Then you may be eligible to earn an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction while earning the credentials to teach CCP or entry level college biology.

Are you interested in an initial license to teach life science in grades 7 through 12? Then you may be interested in our Licensure and Master's Program (LAMP)
