Middle Childhood / AYA LAMP Application Process

Middle Childhood / AYA Licensure And Master’s Program (LAMP)

  • Bachelor Degree to Enter
  • One year from Aug.-July to complete
  • Intense one year, fulltime program
  • Highly selective program

Program Entrance Requirements

  • 3.0 Min. GPA
  • 2.7 Min. GPA in content
  • Start in August for fall semester
  • Application completed by May 1
  • Pass appropriate content exams as specified by the Ohio Department of Education prior to starting the program
  • Apply to Graduate School

Process for Entering LAMP

Deadlines for REVIEW and APPLYING to LAMP

Coursework Review Deadline

  • Deadline for review of coursework for early decision is due October 15
  • Deadline for all other coursework review is due April 1

Deadline for applying to program

  • Application for early decision is November 1
  • If not applying for early decision, application deadline is May 1

To begin the evaluation process for the program, you must:

  • Complete the Application for review of coursework form
  • Submit the form and all transcripts of higher education coursework taken at other institutions, including transcripts of coursework completed at UT prior to 1976.

After the completed application and required documentation is received, your coursework will be evaluated. Please allow 2-3 weeks to complete the evaluation process. Once completed, you will then be notified in writing of the coursework you will need in order to be licensed and asked to set up an appointment with the advisor to discuss your options, if you intend to proceed.

Please note that application into The College of Graduate Studies is a second required step, should you decide to pursue LAMP.
