Q:        What is the New Teacher Helpline? 

A:        The New Teacher Helpline is an electronic support service for beginning teachers with additional support to experienced teachers.

Q:        What kind of questions may I submit to the New Teacher Helpline?

A:        Questions may be asked about lesson plans, curriculum resources, classroom management issues, licensure requirements, or instructional practices.  You may also submit questions that are specific to the content that you are teaching.

Q:        How soon will I receive a response to my question?

A:        The New Teacher Helpline will forward questions to faculty members who have expertise in the areas that information is being requested.  Responses are usually returned within three to four days of submission.

Q:        How will I receive the answer to my question?

A:        All responses will be sent via email.  When you submit your question, full completion of the question form is important so that a response can occur.

Q:        Will a record of my question be kept for future use?

A:        Information that is submitted will be for our research data; however, no personal identification information will be used or commercial sale information will occur.
