What is the New Teacher Helpline? The College of Education at The University of Toledo is committed to the goal of providing a support system that will continue to link our graduates to the university.  The New Teacher Helpline provides a forum where teachers can ask questions and receive a prompt answer from a member of the UT Teacher Education or Arts & Science faculty. The mission of the New Teacher Helpline is to provide support for Ohio teachers with an emphasis on assisting beginning teachers.  The intent of this program is: 1) to supplement the mentoring provided by Ohio's entry-year system for all beginning teachers; 2) to increase the likelihood that UT graduates will be successful in teaching and increase student achievement; and 3) to implement a professional practices network for teachers that supports their continuation as teachers in Ohio schools.  Teachers are also able to locate web links regarding teaching and learning from the Helpline. The helpline will provide high-quality responses and support to beginning and experienced teachers in a timely and complete manner. We look forward to assisting you.
