    PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In today’s ever-changing complex society, educational leadership requires knowledge and competencies in all areas of education that impact schools and successful outcomes for students.  Effective educational leaders should be capable of exercising leadership processes in strategic planning, organization, and instructional improvement within the political and community arenas. Grounded in empirically-based research and educational theory, the Educational Administration and Supervision Program is designed to involve experienced master practitioners (all program faculty are experienced master practitioners) in the delivery of course content, the oversight of interactive field experiences, and the design of innovative curriculum.  We believe that school administrators must have a well-balanced experience in leadership theory and practice to be successful.

    OF SPECIAL INTEREST
    The program emphasizes five domains:

    1. strategic planning and leadership
    2. instruction and supervision
    3. organization and management
    4. political and community influence
    5. performance-based experiences including an interactive field experience
