Dr. Jenny Denyer is an assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She teaches courses in literacy theory, research and practice at the graduate level and courses in middle grades literacy learning and instruction at the undergraduate level. Dr. Denyer’s research interests include the analysis of classroom discourse during l iteracy instruction, the teaching of writing, the processes of learning to teach literacy in culturally diverse settings, school-university collaboration, and teacher research. Her publications include works on learning to teach writing, the analysis of teacher-student writing conferences, peer revision conferences, and the collaboration between university researchers and classroom-based teacher researchers.
