PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Early Childhood Education, PreK-3 program prepares students to work with children
who are age 3 to grade 3. The Master’s and Education Specialist Programs in Early
Childhood Education, PreK-3 reflect the latest in theory, research, and practice in
these developmentally crucial early years. Faculty are nationally-recognized scholars
who work with graduate students on various projects, papers, and grants.
OF SPECIAL INTEREST
Faculty at the University are active in schools and agencies at the local, state,
and national levels. There is an option to complete the Master's in Early Childhood Education 100% online.
CURRICULUM INFORMATION
- The Master of Education in Early Childhood Education, PreK-3 is a 36-hour program.
- The Education Specialist Degree requires 32 hours of course work beyond the Master’s Degree.
- The Ph.D. programs have an impressive track record for placing students in research and teaching positions in colleges and universities, school districts, and state agencies.
