Master's Program in Higher Education: Track 2
2013 Professional Master's Cohort (see flyer announcing upcoming Information Sessions on the program)
The Professional Master's Cohort program has been developed as a partnership between Owens Community College and the UT Higher Education Program. The program is geared to students who are currently employed in a college or university. The program will begin its inaugural cohort in the summer of 2013. The program will be five-semesters long and students will be expected to take 2 courses each summer while enrolled in the program. All classes in this cohort will be held at Owens Community College.
Admission Requirements:
This cohort will begin in the summer of 2013, with two summer classes. Admission of students to the Professional Master's Cohort is based on the following criteria:
- Currently employed at a college or university.
- A completed Graduate School admissions form.
- A baccalaureate degree granted by an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of 2.7.
- Official transcripts from all previous higher education institutions attended.
- A statement of purpose indicating a commitment to pursuing a career in the field of higher education.
- Two letters of reference, including at least one from a faculty member who can speak to your ability to conduct research and to write at the graduate level.
- A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- The applicant will be responsible for assembling these materials and submitting them to the College of Graduate Studies. Please use their electronic admissions form, which can be found at at: http://gradschool.utoledo.edu/pages/applyonline_campus.asp
Admission Deadline:
- Friday, April 12th, 2013 is the deadline for the submission of all materials to the College of Graduate Studies for consideration for admission to the 2013 Professional Master's Cohort.
- Twenty applicants will be selected to be members of this inaugural cohort. All applicants will be notified of the committee's admissions decisions on Monday, April 22nd, 2013.
