Research area:

Dr. Roberts’ research interests include the use of health promotion interventions in the hospital emergency department, the use of multimedia to present health promotion interventions, working with churches to bring health promotion interventions to congregations, decreasing the impact of excessive noise and using social marketing to reduce high risk drinking.

Professional service:

• Director of the Health Promotion and Education major in the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program.
• Serve on the MPH Admissions committee
• Chair the MPH Continuing Education committee
• UT Health Science Campus Tobacco Policy committee (2007)
• Member of GASP Toledo, a citizen activist group that successfully worked, with others, to bring about the passage of clean indoor air legislation in the City of Toledo. (2000 – 2004)
• Founding member of the committee that established the Master of Public Health degree program at the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio. ( 1992 – 1996)Toledo Commission on Minority Health
