The AHIMA Foundation of Research and Education (FORE) offers merit scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in health information
administration and health information technology who have at least one full semester
(6+ hours) of classes remaining in their course of study at the time the award is
granted (August 31). Scholarships are also available to credentialed health information
administration (HIA) professionals pursuing graduate degrees in an area related to
HIA practice.
HIA Handbook
The HIA Handbook is available upon request for students in their junior (or higher)
year of the major. Please contact the HIA Program Director to receive a copy. Once
you have read the document, please complete the last page and mail it to Catherine.McIlwain@utoledo.edu.
Graduation
This is a reminder that every student must apply for graduation. The Advising Office
will perform a Program of Study Audit to ensure all requirements have been met. If
you have not applied for graduation, please do so by using the following Application for Graduation Form ![]()
