Graduate Athletic Training Program Master of Science in Exercise Science

Master of Sciences in Exercise Science
Program Information
Concentration in Athletic Training:
Within the Master of Science in Exercise Science degree, a concentration in Athletic
Training is available to students that:
1.) Have graduated from a CAATE accredited undergraduate or entry-level master’s
Athletic Training
education program.
2.) Are certified or are eligible for certification by the NATABOC.
3.) Are eligible for Ohio Athletic Training licensure.
The GATEP represents an advanced academic program with associated clinical experience opportunities. Students are encouraged to pursue various sports medicine related topics through their course of study and exposure to research in their chosen topic. Students may be assigned to external assistantships to provide athletic training services in a variety of settings including Division I intercollegiate athletics and high schools.
