SOTA Mission & Purpose

Mission Statement

The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) at the University of Toledo is dedicated to the goal of furthering the professional development of our members, and fostering mutual respect and communications between our members and the professional community. We strive to recognize our altruistic responsibility to the broader society in which we live.

Purpose

1. 1. The principle purpose of the association is to broaden and advance the educational, service, and social opportunities of occupational therapy students.
   2. It is among our purposes to promote interest in and knowledge of the occupational therapy profession in the community.
   3. It is our purpose to maintain contact with our sister school, Owens Community College, so professional networking may begin and a greater understanding of each other's professional responsibilities become established.
