Description:    Preparation for co-op and full-time employment in industry. Topics include resume writing, interviewing skills, compensation and benefits, social protocol and corporate ethics, biomedical ethics, design and quality control processes, and governmental regulation.
  
Prerequisite:    Acceptance into Bioengineering

Objectives:    To prepare students for co-op and full-time employment 
To inform students of current issues in biomedical industries 
To introduce students to regulatory issues in biomedical industries
  
Topics:    Introduction; co-op plans, contract and guidelines 
Resume preparation 
Interviewing skills 
Professional conduct and workplace behavior 
Entrepreneurship and business plans 
Regulatory issues and FDA approval 
Quality control standards 
Corporate and biomedical ethics 
Medical and graduate school 
Career options for bioengineers
  
Schedule:    1 - 50 minute lecture per week
