Why UT Civil Engineering?

The University of Toledo has an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering that provides students with a comprehensive education in the fundamentals of Civil Engineering.  In addition, our program includes faculty experts and core courses offered in four specialized areas of Civil Engineering including environmental, geotechnical, structural, and transportation engineering.

Our program offers a number of advantages, including:

  • A small faculty/student ratio and small class sizes
  • Design-based courses in all four specialized areas of Civil Engineering
  • Integration of sustainability and green engineering throughout our curriculum
  • All Civil Engineering courses are taught by faculty members
  • An integrated cooperative education experience that provides on-the-job experience to our students as they complete their undergraduate degree
  • Low tuition offered by a public university
  • Excellent department and campus facilities

The faculty and staff of the Civil Engineering and Environmental Department are dedicated to the success of our students. We encourage you to take a tour of our department and to learn more about our program!
