Biography

Dr. Beans is currently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Toledo. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University, and his Ph.D. from Penn State. Prior to joining the University of Toledo, he worked for Pennsylvania State University, Battelle Memorial Institute, North American Aviation, Rockwell International Inc., Missile System Division, and the Ohio State University.

Dr. Beans is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Combustion Institute, American Society of Engineering Education, and Society of Automotive Engineers.
