Chuck Lehnert joined the former Medical College of Ohio in 1979. He has fielded many positions within facilities management culminating in his position as Vice President of Facilities & Construction.
As vice president, Chuck is responsible for the Facilities and Construction Team. This includes: Facilities Maintenance, Energy Management & Power Plant/Utilities, Facilities Financial Services & Stores, Off-Site Facilities, Transit Services, Biomedical Engineering, Work Center/Key Control, Building & Environmental Services, Moving & Recycling, Grounds, Fleet, Life Safety, Capital Projects & Funding, Space Planning and Interior Design.
Chuck is administratively responsible for locally funded capital projects, capital repairs, capital equipment purchases, renovations, skilled trades such as building finishers, mechanical maintenance technicians, electrical maintenance technicians, building operations, stationary engineers and structural engineers. He has been instrumental in the development and deployment of a five-year projected plan for capital expenditures needed to keep the University's campus facilities at a world-class level, the University's Equipment Condition Analysis to ensure the proper operation of all patient care and research equipment, The Science & Technology Comprehensive Project Development Strategy and Campus Master Plan.
