Planning for the Learning of Chinese Heritage Learners

Away from traditional teacher-centered classroom, this unit introduces the characteristics and needs of Chinese heritage learners and standard-based lessons with backward design planning with examples situated in the context of Chinese heritage schools.

Additional resources feature learning plans template and learning plan checklist translated into Chinese. Model learning plans are standards-based and thematically organized unit/lessons designed for Chinese heritage learners of different age groups and were previously implemented successfully at Chinese weekend schools.
